He also ensured computer based test for recruitment of staff. He ensured conducive atmosphere for academic excellence in JNVs and expedited completion of construction works in pending projects. Dr. Senapaty has also served as Dean, Faculty of Education, Utkal University, Odisha. Dr. Senapaty has been conferred with the Honorary degree of D.Lit by the Ravenshwa University, Odisha for his significant contribution in the field of Education. He has published a number of research papers and participated in several National and International Seminars and Conferences. As the Director of NCERT, Dr. Senapaty has played a lead role in development of learning outcomes for Elementary stage, conduct of National Achievement Survey and development of text books on vocational education.
